SES Cockpit Voice Recorder Area Microphone

The CVR Area Microphone, P/N 27700, is designed for use with the SES S3DR-CVR Cockpit Voice Recorder, P/N 27600, and has been widely used in aircraft installations. The CVR Area Microphone assembly contains an electret-condenser capsule that is anti-vibration mounted within a machined aluminium housing.

Other versions of the SES Area Microphone, P/N 27710 & 27715, are suitable for connection to third-party analysis or recording equipment.

Area Microphone Cable

A standard cable suitable for military aircraft installations is available as PN27720. The 3.5m cable is terminated at one end with the microphone mating connector. Other lengths are available to special order. Ideally the total length should not exceed 8m to achieve the microphone frequency response specified.
